Table of Contents:

Flour & Grape

Pumpkin ravioli at Flour & Grape, Bermondsey

Flour & Grape claims top spot for pasta restaurants in London for us. Located in Bermondsey at 214 Bermondsey Street, this is a cosy spot with long communal tables. With roughly 9 pasta dishes on the menu at once with everything from beef short-rib ragu to lemon ricotta – there’s something for everyone here.

You can’t book Flour & Grape, but you can join a virtual online queue once you’re within a mile (which we recommend you do on weekend evenings)! Whilst you wait they have a fantastic cocktail bar downstairs.

Padella

cacio e pepe pasta at Padella, Borough Market

Padella comes in a close second for us, just a 15 minute walk from Flour & Grape. Located in Borough Market, this is another cosy London pasta restaurant that’s especially inviting on a cold winter evening. Once again you cannot book so will need to join the virtual queue but there’s plenty of pubs in the area. Our favourite dish here is the cacio e pepe, and we recommend following it up with a tiramisu for dessert!

Lina Stores

Lina Stores is a small chain of pasta restaurants in London, with locations in South Kensington, Soho, Kings Cross and more. The pasta here has some unique flavours on offer compared to other spots in the city, we really enjoyed the artichoke stuffed pasta. The interior feels like an up-class American dinner decked out in Tiffany blue.

Pastaio

Looking for a pasta restaurant in London’s Soho? Look no further than Pastaio located just off of Carnaby Street. This is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a buzzing location before heading out for drinks. Whilst a relatively short selection of pastas on the menu, there is something for every taste. Choose from chopped mussels, veal ragu, and slow roasted tomatoes.

Polpo

a pumpkin ravioli in a sage butter sauce at Polpo

One of the more fancy pasta restaurants in London is Polpo, with two locations: Chelsea and Soho. The menu does change seasonally, when we visited we thoroughly enjoyed the pumpkin ravioli. For starters you must get the truffle and potato croquettes!
