For the 9th year in a row, London has taken the top spot to be crowned World’s Best City for 2024. The title has been bestowed by consultancy group Resonance, who undertake the mighty task of ranking the World’s best 100 cities, based on an array of data that falls into three categories: Livability, Lovability, and Prosperity.
Why is London the World’s Best City?
According to the report, London ranked first place in 2 of the 3 categories: Livability and Lovability. As people who both live in and love London we couldn’t agree anymore.
The particular highlights that marked London out as the best city for 2024, include our Culture – this ranking was based on the quality of cultural activities and performing arts experiences, as ranked by locals and tourists on Tripadvisor. As well as Educational Attainment.
London leads all global cities for Instagram Hashtags, and with so many Instagrams dedicated to all things London, like our own, we’re not surprised. It also led the way for Facebook checking and Tripadvisor reviews.
The Big Smoke had the 3rd highest international traveller spend in 2022, and the most in Europe (at a whopping $16.07 billion)!
