Holy Carrot

Raw Pad Thai at Holy Carrot

Holy Carrot was previously located in Knightsbridge and is currently running a monthly supper club at Maria G’s in Kensington. Consisting of a 6 course meal priced at £65pp, you do not want to miss out on trying their delicious plant-based offerings.

When we visited we opted for:

  • Buffalo mushroom wings
  • Purple Potato Croquettes with avocado filling
  • Raw Pad Thai
  • Smoked Aubergine Carpaccio

Each dish was super-tasty and well thought out, as well as the atmosphere being the perfect decor for a romantic London restaurant to share a vegan meal with your partner.

Mallow

Mallow has two vegan restaurants in London: one in Borough and one in Canary Wharf. From the minds at the popular Mildreds, Mallow is an entirely plant-based restaurant offering up both small and large plates. The special thing about Mallow is that as well as being vegan they also focus on using local suppliers whenever possible, as well as keeping food waste to a minimum.

Tendril

Tendril is located just by Oxford Circus tube station and is open for both lunch and dinner. This plant-based restaurant has a mostly vegan menu (all items that are not vegan are stated on the menu – although this is very few). You can choose from either an a la carte menu, or opt for the set menu to get a little taste of everything.

You’ll also find a great drinks menu boasting lots of vegan wines, cocktails, and mocktails.

Club Mexicana

Starting in 2014, Club Mexicana was bored of vegan options only being lettuce and lentils and wanted to show the world there’s so much more to plant-based eating. They make fully vegan Mexican street food and have multiple locations across the city: Soho, Brixton, and Shoreditch. On the menu you’ll find tacos, empanadas, burritos, and nachos. You’ll even find a delicious range of cocktails on their drinks menu too – the perfect spots for a vegan meal out.

Mildreds

Mildreds is a popular vegan restaurant with lots of locations around London. You’ll find a 100% plant-based menu that will serve you from breakfast through to dinner. From vegan Cumberland sausage and mash, to hoi sin duk buns, and white chocolate tiramisu – you’re certainly going to want to try everything on the menu here!

Temple of Seitan

Temple of Seitan based in Hackney is one of London’s sought after vegan restaurants – and the journey to Hackney is definitely worth it. They specialise in fast plant-based food, from scrumptious burgers, to wraps, and chick’n buckets – there’s no reason to head to KFC or Mcdonalds when you’ve got this vegan joint on your doorstep!

The Vegan Brasserie

The Vegan Brasserie is hidden in the backstreets of Victoria, with a plant-based menu, and zero-waste ethos (they donate any unused food to those in the local community who are in need). The menu is very varied with everything from burgers to tacos, pizza to Indian platters. There’s also a wide selection of vegan wines and cocktails to go alongside your dinner.

Farmacy

Farmacy is a vegan restaurant in London with a difference, they have their own farm in Kent where they grow a biodiverse range of vegetables and produce which is brought to their restaurant in Notting Hill where it’ll ultimately end up on your plate. Choose from small plates, large plates, with lots of classics with a plant-based twist e.g. truffled mac and cheese.

Wulf & Lamb

Wulf and Lamb is a vegan deli and restaurant located in Chelsea and Marylebone. They aim to create vegan versions of familiar classics, from delicious breakfasts with chocolate pancakes and open burritos, to lunch and dinner menus boasting chilli non-carne, truffle burgers, and green coconut curries.

The Vurger Co

The Vurger Co is a 100% vegan fast food joint based in Shoreditch. No matter whether you fancy a ‘chicken’ or ‘beef’ patty – they’ve got the choices for you, you can even indulge in savoury ‘chicken’ waffles! If you’re looking for something a little healthier they also have delicious plant-based salads on offer.
