5 Pimlico Pubs You Need to Visit

Pimlico is full of great pubs perfect for catching up with friends, winding down after work, or even taking that crush on a first date to. We’ve got the low down on the pubs that you’ll love in Pimlico, what drinks they’ve got on offer, and which have the best Sunday roasts!

Where is Pimlico?

The neighbourhood of Pimlico is nested just south of Victoria, North of Vauxhall, East of Chelsea, and West of Westminster. You can get here easily either on a main line train into Victoria Station, or take the Victoria, Circle or District line there too. The Victoria line also goes to Pimlico tube station.

5 Best Pubs in Pimlico

As a busy residential area, Pimlico is home to quite a lot of local pubs, but we’ve narrowed it down to just 6 that we think you should visit on your next trip to the area.

The Marquis of Westminster

The Marquis of Westminster is located on the corner of Belgrave Road and Warwick Way. They have a relatively large floor space inside, and tables outside under canopies that also have heaters for nights when it’s a little chillier. The Marquis is a classic gastropub with delicious food, beer, and cocktails on the menu. This is a popular mid-week haunt for the professionals working in Victoria, but it’s also a spot that the locals love to frequent!

The Queens Arms

The Queens Arms is on Warwick Way and has been there since 1846 – just a short 9 years after the building of Pimlico was completed. Amongst your usual beers, ciders, and wine, The Queens Arms also has a cocktail menu featuring classics alongside house cocktails like the Queen’s Collins. This is another of Pimlico’s pubs that serves food too – with an extensive menu featuring both large and small plates.

Cask Pub & Kitchen

For those who are into craft beers then Cask in Pimlico is the place for you! The line up of taps at this Pimlico pub is vast and you’ll have lots to choose from! Opened in 2009 by landlord Martin Hayes, himself a Pimlico native, this is the place for those who really appreciate their beer. If you need something to soak up the alcohol, then dig into their range of burgers!

The Warwick

The Warwick is another gastropub right in the heart of Pimlico on Warwick Way. Not only do they have a busy pub downstairs, but if you want a more peaceful dining environment they have a first floor dining room. The menu consists of classic pub dishes including fish and chips, and pie of the day, alongside burgers – including a vegan option. On Sunday’s you can dive right into a traditional Sunday roast.

The Constitution

The Constitution on Churchton Street is another great Pimlico pub, as with most of the area’s drinking houses you’ll find a good selection of beer, wines, and cocktails. The food menu has a good range of food choices from pasta, pizza, steaks, pies, burgers, and desserts.

Things to Do in Pimlico After Your Pint

Whilst Pimlico is a residential neighbourhood, that doesn’t mean there’s not lots to do after your pub lunch! For those who adore architecture, take a stroll around the Pimlico grid and its white stucco houses designed by Thomas Cubitt. Or take a walk down to the Tate Britain to take in the famous works of art.
