Our Review of Big Mamma’s Jacuzzi

Our trip to Jacuzzi was to celebrate a birthday with a lovely meal. Upon entering the restaurant you’re immediately struck by the grand decor. We were lucky enough to be seated on the very top floor which meant we got a proper look at all 4 floors that this restaurant is made up of.

beautifully illustrated cocktail menu at Jacuzzi

We started our meal off with some cocktails, Jacuzzi have quite a large cocktail menu and some are served in fun glasses. Mine had a lovely illustration of two women on it. To start our meal we opted for the focaccia with garlic and herbs which was delicious, light and spongy. Alongside this we got a burrata to share – opting for the truffle version which has a truffle cream inside the cheese (this is certainly a must get if you love truffle as it was super tasty and luxurious)!

For mains, I went for the puttanesca pasta which is traditionally a tomato, caper, and anchovy sauce. At Jacuzzi it is also served with tuna sashimi on top. The pasta was delicious, although I did think there was a little too much tuna. My partner opted for the famous Lobster Risotto ai Frutti di Mare which looks sensational and very striking. He really enjoyed it, especially as lobster isn’t something we’d ever cook at home.

Whilst Jacuzzi’s dessert menu looked delicious (and having had the famous lemon meringue tart at Circolo Popolare we’re sure they wouldn’t have disappointed) but we were far too full from our starters and mains to even consider stuffing a pudding in!

The menu at Jacuzzi changes every month, so there’s always a bit of variation, but many of the dishes will stay the same. With starters including the classic Italian bread focaccia, grissini, burratas, and pizzettes. You can then move onto mains, with a wide choice of pastas including fresh seafood dishes and their famous truffle pasta – we’d really recommend going for one of these. They also have a large choice of pizzas, meats, and steak – so there’s really something for everyone.

When it comes to dessert we’d recommend the tiramisu as we’ve heard great things about it! But the vanilla cheesecake also looks super scummy!

Everything You Need to Know About Jacuzzi

Jacuzzi is an Italian trattoria with 170 covers spread over 4,000 square feet, across four floors in a Kensington town house. It is one of the restaurants from the group Big Mamma, who also own Circolo Popolare in Fitzrovia, Gloria in Shoreditch, and more across London and Europe.

The grand entrance to Jacuzzi on High Street Kensington

Opening in 2020, the decor inside is designed to be a luxurious Italian mansion, and it really does impress. We’d recommend getting a look at each floor as the decor does change as you move further up the building. From a lemon tree on the ground floor, to disco balls in the toilets – you’re in for a treat.

Where is Jacuzzi & How to Get There?

Jacuzzi is located on Kensington High Street, almost directly across from the tube station.

Address: 94 Kensington High St, London W8 4SJ

The easiest way to get here is definitely by getting the tube to High Street Kensington which is on the circle/district line.

What to Do in Kensington

the elegant exterior of Jacuzzi London

Looking for inspiration for things to do in the local area before or after your meal? Well, you’re in luck because there’s plenty to see around Kensington. Here are some of our top recommendations:

  • Kensington Palace & Gardens – One of London’s royal abodes, is nestled in the heart of Kensington. You can see the palace from relatively close from the gardens (which is one of the Royal Parks free for the public) or you can buy a ticket and explore inside. Currently none of the senior royals live here, but until recently it was the home of The Prince and Princess of Wales.
  • The Design Museum – One of London’s incredible free museums, you don’t need to book ahead here – just walk in and explore the history of design.
  • Shop on Kensington High Street – Shopaholic looking to get your fix whilst in London? You’ll adore this high street, it’s also often less busy than Oxford Street so is a great alternative.
